Who?..Me? II
Who?..Me? II
Potoos are elusive nocturnal birds with crazy yellow magic eyes. They have unusual slits in their eyelids, which allow them to sense movement even when their eyes are closed. They are clever camouflage legends, who will sit on the top of tree stumps and blend in with bark, leaves and fungi using a technique called masquerading. The Potoo can appear motionless but will also imitate the movement of the tree in the wind. They are found in tropical Central and South America and are happily not of conservation concern currently, however this may quickly change with the mass destruction of forests.
